NORA has a mission to assist in providing clean and reliable heating and hot water to the American consumer. Technical training and education of the thousands of oilheat technicians is essential to the success of this mission.

Additionally, NORA training and technical education programs not only protect and advance employment, they help create jobs as well. Trained technicians have an advantage when it comes to job placement, security and advancement. There are 16,000 technicians in NORA’s certification program. The universal adoption of this program has improved training and the professionalism in the industry.

As the NORA Research and Development programs move forward and the level of technology increases, it is even more imperative that the “army” of technicians servicing American homes be as highly trained and motivated as possible.
